bug removal
First off make sure you have some protection on there. Its like Pam for bumpers, and use it often, even a QD helps. Apply spray waxes after washing.
As for removal, rehydrate splatter/bugs with water. Jess likes two throw a wt blanket or towel on which is a great idea as well. Point being get and keep moist, the water will soften them up. Dont scrub caked on bugs and splatter. Its very important to soften them up.....

I also found some small M/F cloths that were advertized as bug removal cloths and they work very well. I got it from some detail supply place on line but can't remember who. I have used them on 3 week old soft paint that had 3000 miles of fresh bugs on it and it didn't mar. I did soak it with a wet blanket for a 1/2 hour.
I'm not a fan of bug removal sprays, I used to use them but on two lease cars I was doing a lot, they were showing clear coat failure on the front edge of the hood and I suspect it was from that as they never used anything else.
