Blackfire IS better than Zaino... for hiding swirl marks, and to my eye for looks.

Zaino is hands down better than Zaino for durability and slickness and shine.

 

Well.......I guess THAT clears everything up then.

Postscript: I have been back and forth with Zaino and Blackfire through the slop, and Zaino cleans up easily and looks good whereas Blackfire requires washing AND QD to bring back the shine.

 

I think blackfire works better on dark cars. I have black fire and zaino and i use the blackfire more b/c of the rich gloss it give dark cars. It also seems to make the car more rich in color. I always thought my black was dull until I blackfired it.

I also like zaino but the wait time in between doing the steps, had me put it on the shelf until summer. Too much time! Blackfire goes on and off in a blink of an eye. I also blackfire my car everytime i wash it. I am obsessed with waxing my car (neighbors think i am a fool) I don't care! So my answer is....Blackfire when you are in a rush and you want a quick beautiful shine in the winter. Zaino for when spring hits, and you can spend a weekend on putting 50 coats on your car in nice weather.

Never new that existed.... I had zaino for about year now sitting on my shelf, and at the time i purchased it, for spring/summer use in 01, ZFX wasn't out. Still, when you are applying more than one coat of Zaino it's recommended waiting a day b4 applying another coat. You can put like 15 coats of black-fire on in an hour. That's what I am talking about!

 

Is Blackfire a lot cheaper than Zaino?

 

It's about 50-60 bucks for the starter kit. That has everything you need minus the clay bar. Zaino starter kit is about 90 bucks. Blackfire bottles are also bigger than zainos. Again let me reiterate the fact that, I LIKE BOTH PRODUCTS! It's cold out here in Md and I just preferr at this time October - March to use Blackfire. Spring/summer/fall .... I will be back to Zaino.

 

NO waiting time with ZFX! You can do three coats Z2 or Z5 and Z6 one right after the other! Sal says that more than that in ONE day probably won't make any difference. To each his own. Love my shine!
