Hey guys, so the plastic under where my wiper blades sit is getting pretty faded from the sun and turning a gray color. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on a good product to restore the black color. I'v seen a few but iv never used them and was looking for options and opinions. Thanks

Thanks for suggestions. I wasn't sure if some brand plastic restorers were better than others. Is the restored finish pretty permanent or do you have to reapply periodically?

 

It only lasts a short time, similar to anything you out on your tires. Meguiars Ultimate Black works ok. They're all pretty much the same.

 

I use Meguiar's Back to Black. It worked really well on my sunroof molding. But like Anx said, they don't usually last for too long. With rain, the sun, and washing, it'll start fading again. But luckily, it's an easy process to apply.

Carpro DLUX is what you're looking for. Nothing out there restores and protects your trim like this product does. It lasts for years.

Basically, find a product that works and use it often is the key here. Its amazing what a cleaning with a stiff brush and some APC alone will do.

 

i've used Wipe New, and i must say it worked wonders
