Best towels

I have a Megs WW drying towel. Not sure if it's micro fiber, don't think it is, but it doesn't soak up the water very well. It's very noticeable on my NBP TL. I usually go over once with this towel and finish off with a MF towel.

Would I get better initial drying if I bought a WW MF towel? Maybe the Megs towel isn't as great as something I could get from Excel.

Any suggestions?

Hmm, I've never used the Meg's WW drying towel before but what kind of drying technique are you using? Are you sheeting off the water from your vehicle's surface? I can easily dry my entire vehicle with one of Patrick's WW MF towels using this method. It also helps that I use the CRSpotless sytem on my final rinse.

I'm still using white cotton towels.

Whatever you use, I suggest first blowing residual water off of your car with an electric (not gas) leaf blower. It gets water out of the cracks & crevices like mirrors, around the grille etc. and you can finish up with one towel. This also lessens the chance of fine scratches because there is minimal wiping of the paint.

Megs WW drying towels works best after it has been washed a few times.

I guess my Megs towel hasn't been washed a lot. It just smears around the water. I'm going to start doing the sheeting technique.

Dont dry it completely after a wash either. Remove from the dryer while still slightly damp. Believe it or not, they wick water a little better when theyre damp.

I've found I can reduce the amount of water that the towel has to pick up by removing the spray nozzle and rinsing the car by pouring a slow stream of water over it using the open end of the hose.

Try this. You'll love it.
