just wanted to share some pictures and a very positive experience with a local leather refinisher/restoration company "FibreNew" based out of edmonton.
my wheel had some wear from 16 years of ownership. the left side actually had worn the dimpling a bit, so i figured it was time to get it refinished.
i was quoted 175-200 (canadian) and the price definitely fit within those parameters. i am hoping if any of you are in the same situation (need to fix wheel wear), that you look at the refinishing option instead of buying a new one.
granted it's not *perfect* but i feel it's quite close. and i am very satisfied.
Last time I checked locally, the trim shop wanted $300.00, to re-do the leather portion of an OEM Accessory wood grain wheel. I thought that was a bit much.
That is a little high and I would do some shopping, I literally just called the shop I go to and now said they cant do steering wheels so maybe Ill look into where the OP went.
