The ones that rool up really small and nice??

I cant speak for all the brands, but the one my sister has (or shall I say had) was JUNK!!!

She was sooo excited to have me wash mer her because she wanted to show me this cool hose she had. I hooked it up. Un-realed the hose, turned it on and it looked like a rainy day.. That damn thing had rotted while it was rolled up. It had about 20 small holes in it and it was only used three times and then put away (wet) for the winter.. Maybe you need to dry it off first.

she got the one from TV. It did work ok.. Besides the leaking..

The one i got is kinda crap. It held up a bit but all it really is a cloth tube with a plastic bag material tube in it. If you are not careful the hose can kink very easy. So it not really worth the hassle. Mine didn't break but it sure not really nice.

one thing with the 'flat hoses' is that they all got looow PSI. ..lyk a dam water sprinkler. Best go wit conventional garden hose!

Get a regular Craftsman, return it for a new one when it leaks.

The coil hoses can be a pain.

I was given one of the "flat" ones that is usable while rolled up (not the one like a fire hose). It has 3 tiny channels to allow water to flow while it is on the reel.

Cross section:

-O--O--O-

If you feed it about 60- to 70-PSI (street water pressure/unregulated), it's OK for car wash work when used the nozzle that came with it.

They look great for being able to just drag inside. However, they don't take to sitting outside in the sun all day (label clearly states this).

However, they are a PAIN in the ASS to store... They dribble out water if you don't cap both ends or drain the hose. Since the passages are narrow, getting all of the water out can be a real pain in the rear.

IMO, better to just get a good Sears or other lifetime warranty hose (5/8" or bigger) and toss it small tub or bag when done...

I have the flat hose.

Not too durable, but awful convenient.
