Anyone ever used Cilajet?

Greetings,

I am hopefully a new TL-S owner in a few days. I have a question for the extremists on here. (I hope to be one in good time)

A buddy of mine recommended http://www.cilajet.com/

It is a clear coat that is apparently highly acclaimed and does an extreme job of protecting the interior and exterior of the vehicle. One of my concerns is that I will not be able to park my TL in a Garage every night. Has anyone heard of this product or something similar? I would be interested in recommendations of similar products as well.

(Did a search on the forums for Cilajet and didn't come up with anything)

Very excited about the new TL!!, can't wait til I have pics to share (will be a few weeks until my account is unlocked)

I am not familar with this product. I'm curious to see exactly what the 5 and 10 year warranty really covers. No matter how good the claims are it will not protect against poor paint maintenance.

All of those exterior/interior protectors like that are not worth it IMO. You would be better off investing $500 in solid detailing equipment.

Or less and I agree with both... over the years I have seen dozens of claims like this ... and thats what they are .. claims ... stick with the proven products recommended here.

And ... does your "friend" have long term proven experience with this product?

+1, get good detailing equipments and do it yourself.
a DA can be had for like $130 these days, 4 orange pads + 4 black pads + polish/sealant and you are good to go. That's less than $300 and if do your own car once or twice a year, it'll last quite a few years!

[QUOTE=CU2MIKE;12356376, 4 orange pads + 4 black pads + polish/sealant ![/QUOTE]

No white pads? Sometimes depending on the paint and polish the orange pad "may" haze the paint a bit and the black pads won't remove it.
