Even if you rinse / wipe it after each swipe you can pick up that one grain if grit on the next pass and scratch. And the chanses of that happening are even greater if the previous step was blowing the water out of creavaces with air of some origin.

Well, my husband uses a leaf blower to dry off his bike (08 Hayabusa) I used it to dry my TL a few times too, works good, he has one of those backpack ones.

Not wanting to step on toes....I'm the new guy here.....but if you remove paint, whether by chemical means or abrasives in the wax/sealant/or polish....you are going to kill the clear coat.......that was my point!

And if you don't remove the oxidized paint its worse for it than doing nothing.

And the word "kill" isn't appropriate in tha case of polishing .. we aren't performing abortions . The amount of clear removed is miniscule in the scheme of things .

You do more damage to clear with bad wash / dry practices and poor protection than is done with proper polishing.
