2006 Civic Si - Saucy

A good friend of mine was in some dire need a good exterior detail. This Si had tons of minor scratches and a hell-acious amount of swirl marks. I am still learning a lot about the camera techniques. I struggle capturing the swirls and getting good 50/50 shots. I do not have any good 50/50 shots due to this. Enough jibberish, onto the pictures. Let me know what you guys think.

Steps Completed:

Wheels and Tires Cleaned with P21S Wheel Cleaner and assorted brushes.
Washed with a Meguiars Gold Car Wash (open for suggestions, getting low now)
Clay Bar on Exterior Paint and Glass
Dried with Microfiber towel, pulled inside and taped off
Wheels dressed
MG's D300 Cutting Compound with microfiber pad and new Porter Cable Orbital Buffer( x2)
Menzerna FMJ applied by hand allowed to set, and buffed out
Plastic trims cleaned and dressed
Class cleaned
Exhaust tip clean and dressed

Before:

Holy Swirl Marks Batman

On to prepping and doing work...

Mezerna now doing work while I sit back and take a break

Starting to buff off wax

After shots

Money Shots

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Wow, you did a fantastic job, Jimmy! I see that the wheels were nicely dressed. I hate coming back to a clean car to see tire dressing flung onto the car after driving it around a bit.

Thanks. The webs were crazy. Loved seeing the difference afterwards. I always want to just sit back in a lawn chair and stare for a while when Im done.

Ty, Thanks man. Im big on make sure the wheels are dressed nicely. Its like wearing a new pair of sneakers, always feeling good when you got clean wheels. Tire Fling is def something of the devil.

Looks great! I plan on buying a PC buffer in the spring but really havent been able to decide between the Meg's microfiber system or using typical foam pads with M105/M205 or Menzerna or something.

I really like the microfiber pads for the correction. I used a foam pad and applied the wax by hand. I honestly dont even have foam pads for my buffer yet. Looking at getting some within the month though.
