2001 CL Dash

I read through the posts here and don't see whether anyone advocates using Armoral on the dash. Is our dash sufficiently protected from the heat without being "lubed" so to speak? I certainly don't want any cracking over time. "preciate any help on this.

Armor All is way to shiny and greasy. I use 303 Protectant on my dash. It works great. Vinylex works really well too.

You can get 303 at any Marine Store, like West Marine.
You can get Vinylex just about everywhere, Pep Boys, Target, KMart.

don't hate me for saying this, but the Zaino Leather in a Bottle works also...it's more than a leather cleaner/conditioner...it works on vinyl and plastic also

It's a floor wax and a dessert topping.

slightly offtopic dashboard question

what procedure/cleansers do you guys recommend for cleaning the plastic windows on the instrumentation (i.e. over the speedometer, tachometer, etc...). does the plastic scratch really easily, or is a simple windex/kimwipes procedure good for this?

I use my slightly damp chamois for the whole interior including the guages. Picks up all the dust and lint, leaves things nice and clean.

I wish I had something to stop my Navi from picking up so much lint........

i think it is too shiny and oilly..sometimes real bad refelction from the sun and windshield..so what i do is use wet tower to wipe all the dust.as my cls is grarged most of the time.therefore rare direct sun light to the dash or car

I must say that I really like the 303 Protectant for my seats/dash/doors. I applied it about a month ago and there is still a slight wet look to the dash/doors without looking shiny/reflective/greasy. I'm very happy with this stuff.

I bought it online at Performance Products

Way Cool Slimey. You posted the link to the 303 and Performance Products - awesome.

Is that a trick only known by those long-time posters on this board?

Um, no. I've only been posting here for a couple months anyway.

You can use standard vB/UBB/HTML code for links, fonts, etc. There are also shortcut buttons just above the pane that you enter text. For a quick tutorial try clicking the help button next to vB Code.

The shortcut buttons make fancy text easy as pie! :homer: Mmmmm; floor pie!!
