Do I have to start from scratch again...
...if I want to clay the car?
Just curious. I havn't clayed the car, nor do I plan to in the upcoming weeks, but if and when I do will I have to dawn wash and remove all the Zaino coats? Or can I do it without removing the Zaino?

umm, correct me if I'm wrong...
But I thought you can't use dawn to remove zaino... Since it's a polymer, and not a carnauba wax, using dawn won't remove zaino at all...
[edit: one thing I would like to know, however, is whether BlackFire can be used on top of Zaino, or is that not a good idea? More out of curiosity than any intention to actually do it]

If you have Zaino on the car and want to clay it, all you need to do is wash the car really well, Dawn is not required. Then Clay it using plenty of lubricant following the standard claying instructions. When you're finished claying, wash, dry and follow with a coat of Zaino polish.
The last step is optional, but I always figure that when the particles of dirt get ripped off the surface of the car they might leave tiny holes in the polish and I want to fill them in right away.
