Lost my WHEEL LOCK! What are my options?

I guess I misplaced my wheel lock and now I searched everywhere and can't find it. I need it so I can remove the tires off my car to get my lower ball joints installed.

What can I do to remove the existing lug nuts? I DO NOT want to order a replacement wheel lock from Acura for nearly $40, what are my options on removing my current ones ASAP ?

I'm thinking about just replacing all my lugs with some autozone lugs because I need them ASAP.

any tire shop will be able to remove your lock. or if you want you can use a socket that almost fits over the lock. bang it on with a hammer and remove it that way.

^yup.

i had a wheel lock snap off while still on the stud. i think i used a 3/4 socket to remove it but don't hold me to that. just hammered it on and it eventually twisted off totally.

keep in mind that you will ruin your socket, because the lock will most likely become stuck inside the socket afterwards.

did the wheel locks come from acura-I have acura wheel locks and they exchange the locking lug nuts and put the non locking lug nuts in that case. You could go to acura/honda dealers and have them remove then as they have master keys.

You could do that or for 10 bux give the "Gator Grip" a shot. I believe our wheel lugs are 19mm so it should work. I broke a lock on my Lexus and used this an it worked. It basically uses pins that conform to any shape. It's marketed as a universal socket wrench.

Craftsman sells a bolt removal kit for like $10, you would need the set with #13,#14, and #15 in it. I have 2 sets and have used them more then once to save me from the aggravation. The gator grip that was mentioned above is also a good option to try...

That bolt removal kit is crap. I tried it before and had no luck just stripped the hell out of it. Next time use a 19mm or 3/4" socket. Six point is best and hammer it on.
