^same, also really helps in rain. But I would only use them when you actually need them or they may not last as long. But they do a great job in my experience. Only downside is that for some inexplicable reason they have become more expensive...I used to buy them on Amazon or Ebay for around $40/pair, now they are almost twice that.

I buy 13556 H3's though, so the price may differ for you. Unfortunately I don't have a photo handy either.

EDIT: Found a couple really old photos, but they're not at night so you can't get an idea of the output. Shows the color though I guess if that helps you, 6k HID low beams with the PIAA plasma ion yellow foglights.

3,000k HIDs for fog lights. I chose these for visibility (usable light) and with the independent fog light mod, I often use these solely in areas where light is reflected back into my eyes.

It's all about usable light, the "brighter" lights aren't helping you out with more visible (usable) light, and you usually wind up causing yourself to squint from the light reflecting back onto yourself. Anything over 4,200k-4,500k is overkill for all eyes on the road.

Was looking for a specific graph that combines all these below, these will have to do. Hint understand kelvins AND lumens correlation to visible/usable light.

I read a article somewhere explaining that yellow fog lights doesn't actually help cut through fog like most people think.

I prefer white fog lights

I realized it recently (from a lighting expert) that color has nothing to do with fog lights. The beam and direction defines a fog light. You can choose whatever color you like. Fog lights are to be used only in poor visibility conditions and the main purpose is to see the edge of road while moving very slowly. Good luck.

I think that people with yellow fogs think that they're not blinded by the reflection of the light back in their eyes

No light "cuts" through fog

You need to understand the relationship of kelvins (color) to lumens (brightness), did your expert explain that to you, if not here you go:

HID Bulb Colors & Kelvin Temperatures | HeadlightRetrofits.com

Basically, you get into ridiculous colors (blue --> purple), your usable light (lumens) is decreased.

It's simple really and visualized in the graphs I've already provided.

Again, the peak HID Kelvin (color) for light output is around 4300K.

You run anything above that, your decreasing your usable light. Period.

Again, I choose yellow, because there's less lumens bouncing/glaring back into my eyes. Go with white, you'll have a brighter light reflecting back into your eyes when you actually use them in the fog or in areas where there are high reflections.

For those that still don't get Kelvins, in the simplest terms, you'd have more usable/visible light with 1000k bulbs than 5000k+ bulbs. Kelvins = Color

If you want your fog lights to actually serve a purpose, stay within that Kelvin (color) range.

The graph above makes more "sense" when you visualize these lines:

Color DOES matter if you want them to function as fog lights when you need them, if you want to be obnoxious and blind yourself and others, go with bulbs 5000k+.

Hey guys I was in my 2004 Acura TL and I noticed that I had two sets of fog lights, can anyone explain to me what they all mean?

The fogs in the headlight housing functioned fine in 04-06 TLs, previous owner installed second set in lower bumper to look like 07-08 TLs.

The fogs in the headlight housing function no less than those installed in the lower bumper.

White.
I find yellow fogs are nicer on white cars only, otherwise 6000k white is my personal preference.
