I did OEM, but this member did aftermarket - [urlhttps://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=777272[/url].

I think you'll be fine either way. They just look slightly different.

I have both. The Depot ones are terrible imo. The clips that hold it in place aren't very good, and I have had them pop out a couple times. They aren't as good looking as the oem ones either.

I later bought those same exact ones from your link and love them.

Go OEM.

119.00 for just the rears compared t0 69.00 for all 4. I got the aftermarket one for 69.00 and i am happy with them.

I know what you mean. It didnt fit perfectly but once i trimmed the plastic around the clips they snapped in and there is no way they will pop out on their own. The reason i went with these cuz my front one went bad and this was a lot better deal for me to go smoke all around.

I'm very pleased with my Depot sidemarker set. IMO the fitment issues can vary with OEM as well. When I removed the stock markers, a couple were awfully tight and a b---h to get out and some popped out almost too easily. I didn't have to modify the Depot lights at all to get them in.

Decided to buy OEM today! I really believe you get what you pay on most of these items even with the negligible cosmetic differences most (not all) aftermarket knockoff products are made of lower grade plastics inferior resins and simply don't age as well so even with the higher prices I opt for OEM these days.

The headlights look like they were covered in foil. Clearing is on the "ricey" side of things to ME. Glad you like the mod though.

buy the best cry once thats my motto, over 10 years buying aftermarket parts for the cars I have owned aftermarket has not served me well. I mean sure might look great for a year or two and if thats all that matters to you I guess you cant go wrong! I prefer longevity 7+ years. Those side markers in the pic above look very light not really smoked at almost clear all whats up with that?

I have wanted to see the clear Depos on an AM for some time now. I think they look great with your lights.
Now, get AckTL05 to do some cleared out tails and you, my man, will be set!!!
Oh, and paint those calipers, too!

I searched all over ebay and amazon.. no luck. Except amazon had some that were similar but were sold individually for like $40 each, and they were DEPO. I found some Type-S look-a-likes for $69 shipped. Set of 4..

Roger I have the DEPO set and I really like them. The LEDs are much brighter in the DEPOs compared to the OEM. Since I've seen your car in person, I would go with OEM. They will look great with the Type-S tails

Do the 07-08 cars only need the rear lenses since the front ones are already smoked?

All TL's only need the rear ones (unless, of course, you have a TL-S which already has all 4 this way). The smoked fronts are on the 04-06's also.

This is correct. If you want to keep the OEM fronts, you only need the Type-S rears.
The Depos come as a full set, since the lenses are more "jeweled" or "crystal'ed" and are a lot different than the OEM lenses. The smoked Depos also have more black in them from the plastic backplate used in them. I presume the clear ones use white plastic backplates.

Thanks for that info. I'll be doing Type S rears and switch to a red bulb if needed.

I guess it all boils down to what you like and how much money you have to throw on these. I opted for the depos cuz i think they look better on AM and also couldnt beat 69.00 for a set of 4.

That makes even more sense.

ParaSurfer1979---Both the Depos and OEM already come with red LEDs in the rear markers and amber LEDs in the front. Note that the jeweled lenses of the Depos make for a brighter appearing light.

These are the exact same ones I'm looking at, except from a different seller haha You've convinced me the smoked will look better on AM, as oppose to the chrome. Gratzi!
