I need to clarify that T3 Neo Wedges bulbs will work major all various part of Navigation Console Center, Steering Wheel and Switches. Am I correct? I am not getting there but I need to understand that the T3 Neo is the only one of a kind and will fit all various of OEM parts numbers for the bulbs. Is that correct?
Bear with me I am novice person who I will do anything for DIY.
Thanks

just want to chime in for anyone wanting to do this.
its alot of work but if its gotta be done then its gotta be done.
yes the T3 neo wedge bulbs work for this. you need 12 bulbs. 4 for each side and 4 for the lower ones. uses a flat head screw driver to remove the bulb. keep in mind sometimes installing led bulbs you can install them the wrong way and it wont work so if this happens then just turn it around and it should work fine.

FWIW, I may have found a low-cost solution for the expensive bulbs. I believe I found just the physical light bulb available at Grainger ~$8 for 10 bulbs. That means you have to use a pair of twissor's to remove the bulb from the plastic base then the blue (or red) "mouse condom".
I ordered 10 of these and they should have results by this weekend and will post some pics. $0.80 per bulb and a little bit of work is much more reasonable than $6-7 per bulb

Yes, it's a small rubber cover over the bulb. The base 3G uses the blue cover and the Type-S a red. I'll post a picture later on.

Here's the instrument bulb assembly taken apart with the rubber cover, base, old bulb (bent leads) and new bulb (straight leads and https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2.../#post16873485 for Grainger ordering). Just have to carefully bend the new leads around the plastic base like the original bulb

For similar effort I've been taking the SMD LEDs off of aftermarket neo wedge bulbs, fishing them through the OEM bases, and soldering a resistor to one of the leads to bring the brightness way down.
My reasoning for this combination is:
-The OEM bases are made the best. I've had aftermarket bases melt and their physical tolerances are sloppy.
-The surface mount LEDs have a wide throw, unlike many common through-hole options. By sourcing them from aftermarket bulb assemblies, they're already soldered to a PCB with leads (and a way under-valued resistor).
-An additional 5.1k resistor brings the brightness down much closer to OEM.
-I'm tired of re-doing these bulbs. All of the off the shelf options are crap.

FWIW, I replaced three of the climate control backlighting bulbs and these Grainger bulbs worked great. They are the same size bulb and wire lead, takes about a minute to remove the old bulb, transfer the blue cover, then insert the new bulb and bent the leads to the plastic base. I'll pick up another 10 pack of bulbs to cover me for spares.

There are 8 small T1 bulbs in the climate control switches (4 per side), 3 I replaced.
Left side, bottom 2 bulbs are the Grainger replacement bulbs
Right side, the second from bottom bulb is a Grainger replacement bulbs
They dim the same as the OEM bulbs, they're all incandescent so I expected them to.
