$10 says you probably had your emergency/parking brake pulled up.

our day time running lights are always on no matter what, UNLESS the car was STARTED with the E-BRAKE engaged. as soon as you disengage the e-brake the DRL will turn on.

however.... if the car is STARTED and the DRL is already on, pulling the E-BRAKE WILL NOT turn off the DRL. car must be turned off and than e-brake applied than start the car. than the DRL won't come on

I have a 180 lumen cree flashlight. It is very bright almost like a spotlight, however it does get warm after staying on for awhile. Not sure how it will do in the day time running area, sure it will be bright but it might burn the housing after being used for awhile. This is all just speculation =P

Wont have to worry about the headlight housing the TL uses chrome coated aluminum. The LED on the other hand will fail if it has a poor heatsink especially when used as a DRL.

Ya guys join in please. The infiniti forum is very nice and the members are all welcoming and interested in helping us. The guy who started the GB is contacting JLC once again so he can get us a better rate that INCLUDES shipping.

So the 921 reverse LED's I purchased from V-Led's are OK; but with my tinted windows it's still a bit hard to see when backing up. Are these CREE 921's going to be noticeably brighter? They look bright in the pictures/videos; but so do the one's I currently have.

Also have we determined that we must register over on the Infiniti forum to get added to the list? I'm interested in the reverse lights.

guys, we're talking about DRL, so they'll be on during DAY time.
do you really need a bright LEDs to light up this bright during DAY time?
you can turn on your headlights during DAY time if you want them this bright. lol

Most people registered. Actually I think everyone registered. I will add you to the list anyway.

Many of the infiniti people are also purchasing the CREE reverse LED so I can add you to the list for both bulbs. The DRL as of yesterday were expected to be $35 shipped.

The CREE LED reverse lights are supposed to be 5X BRIGHTER then stock. The LED bulbs you have right now are dimmer then stock bulbs. I would say the CREE LED would be a BIG improvement over the stock bulbs and definitely over the LED bulbs you have right now.

As in terms of legality, I am not so sure if they are legal. You can get tickets for almost anything. I am sure you can get ticket for HID fogs since your glaring oncoming traffic. A cop must be having a really bad day to pull you over for a DRL violation LOL.

And these would look nice and white during the day instead of the ugly yellow. Thats why many people are interested in them.

OK, sounds good. Just to clarify though I have an 06 which doesn't have DRL's; and I like the Nokya yellows I have in the fogs. I am only interested in the reverse lights. Shoot me a PM or post up with what I'm looking at for just those. Thanks!

Those are 921 bulbs. You have to register to get into the group buy. Your lights are going for $30.

Would I be correct in assuming that Canadian TLs do not need the module, as we already run DRLs? Also, what happens to the high beams in this situation? Isn't the OEM bulb dual filament - or do they fire up to identical brightness regardless of whether they are being used as DRLs or high beams?

The TL has Bi Xenon projectors one bulb for hi/low completely independent of the DRL. The DRL does not function as a high beam

Thanks for clearing that up re: high beams. Can anyone chime in re: the Canadian TLs needing a module? We already have it, no? Or is it specific to the CREE LED setup?

Sign up on the infiniti forum. I can't sign up. The infiniti forum is kindly including us in the group buy. Too bad the owner of JLC won't give us a price or return my emails.

The bulb are $32+$5 shipping. But we need a "module". Not sure how much that would cost. Its only $8 on V-LED.

Yeah I'm still waiting for the "module" price as I rather not send the money and still need that piece. Hopefully he gets a price of it soon so we can add that to the calculations. I'm surprised it's taking him so long as the video has the TL in it. Hopefully soon so I can pay for these already.

Those of you who won't join, just join. It's not like the infiniti guys are going to try to fight you or don't like us joining there site. They are more then welcome for us to go on there and help lower the price for them. Just choose other when it asks what car you have. Its not like you guys are trying to pretend like you have an infiniti. The group buy even says acurazine next to our names.

The problem I had was the LEDs while very bright looked like a quarter sized dot when viewed strait on. The reflector was not being used.

In that movie they never show it straight on in the video and you cant tell from the angle they show because a camera at night is always going to exaggerate and make the light bloom.

Hopefully i'm wrong but i'm sure they will try to sell them @ 50/each. They better have a nice heat sink too or they wont last long.
On point with this whole post when purchasing LEDS quality is a must when working with HID planet and retro fits and testing out a ton of diffrent led bulbs there either going to fall soon or later unless quality is a must.

And the poster that posted about about vleds 921 bulb to this one has no comparsion. The Vled blows it away in every way. The cree bulb is just one LED with a projector type bowl on top of it. Not as bright

Is the module to ensure the correct amount of power is provided to the LED bulb when in DRL mode?

I'm out in that case.

do you guys think the cree's will work with the 04 TL fog lights(9006). The fogs have a silver cap in the housing. Can that be removed and how? I know the cree is a forward firing led, so is any of the led light going to make it past the cap?

If joining inf. forum is only way into group buy then I will look into it. I just don't like added junk mail associated with sites I rarely use.

I do brush with tar daily via marlboro reds. love em.

Those rev. lights do look nice.

And if adding a module is the only way to get DRL's to work then I am not that interested in using them.

Thanks for any help insight. I would like to get my new TL-S a little off stock as soon as possible even though its the only one in my area.
