Yes I finally bought another TL ( bought it almost 2 weeks ago)

This is an 06 Anthracite with navi.

One owner and one accident (hit a deer).

What should I look out for or do?

I did an oil change and got it inspected. I'm going to change the trans fluid too. The car drives very nice and transmission actually shifts amazing I can't even tell when it's switching gears.

Photo album of the car.

Let me know what you guys think

Congrats.

You went down this path several times with purchasing a used car and asking others here for advice.

If in doubt with what might or might not need attention, pay for a certified technician or a dealership to do a multi-point inspection and tell you what's going on.

2nd option would be to search here since these type of threads are constantly made about either "Looking to buy a TL, what to look for?" or "Bought a TL, what to look for?"

Best of luck.

I bought an '06 with 77k two weeks ago. Here's all I've done

-3rd/4th pressure switch and drain/fill with DW1. My trans was shifting fine, but this was for peace of mind. Honda trans are fragile, can't hurt
-Oil Change & new air/cabin filters. The air filter was clogged!
-Checked all motor mounts.
-My car already had the timing belt/water pump/tensioner/spark plugs done, but yours is due (if not done already). I believe the interval is 105k/7years.
-And like with all my pre-owned purchases, a very through interior detail.

Also tinted the windows and added felt to the window strips. Can't stand clear windows

Damn nice write up. Yeah I think I gonna change the pressure switches when I do the TB service. For now I'm gonna just change out the tranny fluid because it's really brown

Btw if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for your car?

Ok guys so I just noticed this weird thing when I started it up in the morning.

Basically right after starting I put it in Reverse and it made loud "THUD" noise not clunking or grinding. I tried to re create the noise but it would not do it.

I am changing the tranny fluid now.
Will update...

Just about every Honda I've owned/heard/driven has a distinct reverse "clunk"

The clunk huh?? I get the clunk sound whenever I'm parked on an incline.
Sounds normal to me.

Unless you're talking about the sound it makes when it shifting it to reverse.

Either way, it sounds normal to me.

If you want to prevent that clunk, put the E-brake on before you put it in park

Yup had a friend explain it and he said it's normal because the car has to unstuck the gear and go into reverse which is that sound.

It's not a clunk noise. It sounds like really heavy bass drop. Sorry that's the best I can explain lol
