A1 and B1 services and warranty
Does anyone know if you have your A1 or your B1 services done outside of the dealer, does it void the warranty? I hate going to the dealer. I get an oil change (A1) every 6-7 weeks. I commute 200 miles a day (5 days a week). The purchase of my TL came w/ free oil changes for life ( I could use that). It seems however, that every time I go in they want to charge me for something else (they probably want to make their $$). I want to go somwhere else to rotate my tires and alignments, etc. but I want to make sure that they will still honor the warranty.

It's OK. Dealer, 3rd Party, DIY - doesn't matter.
It's in the Owners Manual Maint Section clear as day - look it up.

you can always say NO at the dealer when they want to do other things while you're in for the FREE oil change...it is your car isn't it?
if you get free oil changes at the dealer, but pay for one at the quickie place you might as well pay for a rotation or "check levels" at the dealer every once in a while. My $0.02.

Free cost HOW many $$$$$ ?????
You can do the services at home if you want. Make sure to keep all receipts for oil and filters, and write it in the owner book in the maitenance log, plus get a free acura.com account and log repairs there

Your warranty will not be void if you get your services done somewhere else or yourself. Keep your receipts and maintenance log current like stated above.
These oil changes are paid for already though, just tell the dealer you only want to go by the maintenance minder and not their recommendations.

Don't get confused with the diference between "Manafacturer recomended service interval", and "dealer recomended service interval". I was living in the DC area where there are more than 5 Acura Garages within 30 miles. One day I chose to take my car to a different garage than usual. I was told that my climate control air filters should have been replaced 15,000 miles ago, and there were a list of about 7 or 8 things that my usual garage didn't do and I was pissed off. I called my old garage and asked to speak to the service manager to inform him that there was no need to send me further maintenance reminders because I would no longer be taking my car to them because they neglected to do the things that they did at the other dealership. The service manager then asked me to read my invoice to him, and he pointed out to me "dealer recomended service interval" not "Manafacturer recomended service interval". That was a tough way of learning that I just got Ass Raped to the tune of $300+ and almost threw away a good relationship with an hobest dealer.
