seat comfort -- is rdx one of the best in class?
I have some back issues and limited time/energy to get out and test drive stuff. Being a BMW 3 series owner (3 of my last 3 cars), I tried some of the BMWs in this class -- X1/X2/X3 -- and they simply cannot hold a candle to the RDX in terms of seat comfort (at least sitting for a few min and taking a short test drive).
I have put a deposit down on one, and I'm trying to do some due diligence before I take delivery instead of making an expensive mistake.
Those who own one -- does the seat comfort hold up on longer drives? If cross-shopped against any other cars, did you find anything else with as good or better seat comfort?

I'm a former collegiate tennis player; so fairly bad lower back in general, and shoulders. This has been nothing short of amazing to be honest.
Very comfortable, especially when you use lane keep assist. My arms, back, and body feel pretty comfy! I got the Advance model so there's 16-way adjustability for passenger and driver.

Burning Brakes
I have arthritis in my lower back and have done 3 hours non-stop without issues. The seats are every bit as comfortable as my '14 Cadillac SRX and more comfortable than my '18 Toyota Highlander Limited - at least for me.

The lumbar support adjustment is an awesome feature (especially since you can adjust the position vertically). I also like how the alcantara inserts (in the A-spec) really keep a grip on you when you corner quickly. Overall a very comfortable seat, though I will admit that I loved the seats in my old '07 RDX just a bit more.

I’ve owned BMW, several Audi, and several Acuras. By my preference, Acura seats win going away. And the 2019 RDX continues the trend.

I've owned BMW's with the 16 way comfort seats, I've owned Audi's, I've owned VW's and also Acuras. The most comfortable seats I have ever sat in were Volvo seats, no surprise, but the second best IMO is Acura. People are really sleeping on Acura when it comes to seats. They have the most comfortable seats in their price points.

My 535 had the comfort seats, and after driving the Tech, I did not think the extended thigh support and side bolsters were needed. I might have liked the upper back articulation from the bimmer, but I find the RDX seats to be every bit as good as those in my 535. The RDX passenger seat is more comfortable than the 535 due to how your legs laid out in the 5er.
I have not yet taken an extended drive in the RDX, so I can’t comment on that.

My second generation RDX seats are much better and comfortable than my Mercedes E class,. I can only imagine that the third generation RDX’s seats would be much better. But I understand that the seats are very personal issue.

Backwards as it may sound, the trend is towards seats becoming less comfortable in newer cars. Don't have much experience with Acura, but I know the Accords have been dinged a lot.

Oh well, may be in the never ending pursuit of sportiness and handling, comfort must be way less in priority these days. Larger rims with low profile tires and sports tuned suspension , what else will enthrall the auto journalists???
They must start have separate line of cars for comfort oriented people.
No wonder Cadillac and Lincoln are still selling these days.

I don't think it's possible for a single seat design to be comfortable for all body types, no matter how many adjustments they claim. Sporty side bolsters, that keep a trim body from slipping off the seat in hard cornering, will be digging into the back of a more generously proportioned driver.
Acura's current emphasis is on sportiness. Cadillac and Lincoln, not so much.
