I think its more like $47 - 38 = $8K saving where I live. This is not less than 47 plus this has a remote starter installed in it.

I know what you mean for the finance rate, I think thats because I dont have a credit history built. That is fine though I dont plan to pay this super long, maybe get it done in 24 months or so. The main thing I am and was only worried about is the car running me long term. I really do want to keep this for more than 10 years with just regular maintenance thats it.

You're saying there's no discount on new models? A lot of people are getting $5k off new at Acura dealerships. I'm sure you can negotiate around 42k-43k new at an Acura dealership.

I was not aware of this. I was only able to get $2K off that too because I had used Costco membership card. Hence I dropped the whole idea of RDX initially until I saw a used one like this.
My initial shopping was RDX base + AWD that is it. It was 40 something and the dealership gave it to me for 38,200. That was it, after using costco, beyond that he would not even talk to me. I hated the customer service so bad so I just walked out. And they were offering lower for my trade in as well.

Check the prices paid thread. It should give you an idea on what people offer. However, some deals may be bogus as obviously some dealers will low ball to get you to the door.

In NJ, it was near impossible to get that large of a discount. I believe some of them qualified for incentives, which I was not.

Look, local dealer selling RDX AWD Advance for $43,720 with 8.7k miles.

https://www.turnersvilleautomall.com...-19033183.html

From Carfax, looks like the original owner decided to give it up after 5 months of use.

Just got back, finally got it after a lot of over thinking, headache and everything. I just had to get rid of my audi anyways, and he was giving me a good deal on that.
37,500 before tax. Brakes seemed fine after they warmed up, now I just hope I am not back here for checking other issues lol .... ughhh some part of me still is worried, but oh well I did like the car .... hopefully it doesn't disappoint me.
And btw my dealer was telling me that the additional warranty has to be purchased asap not like towards the end of 50K miles. I have to check with Acura whats the deal.

AcuraCare can be purchased as long as you're within your factory warranty. I confirmed this with several Honda dealerships.

The dealership just wants to make more money off of you.

Congrats on your purchase! As long as you like the car, that's what really matters. Make sure you do a full inspection on it to make sure there is no damage.

That is good. I will also start calling from tomorrow to make sure, not that I dont trust you just making sure my area does the same.
I dont want to spend more at this point and would love to postpone that expense for later on. Thanks for that info!

Acura is the luxury division of Honda. All Acura parts are made from Honda. If you order parts, they usually stamp Honda on them.

Yes I am aware Acura is luxury of Honda. That is why I was all in for it. But I was not sure how many parts are actually shared between Honda products. So they are manufactured by Honda but they are not shared with Honda products? If so how much percent do you guys think are being shared with Honda products? Any way we can find this information for sure?

Thanks a lot in advance.

The RDX engine, turbo and I believe transmission is the same as the one in the Honda Accord 2.0T with ten speed. Therefore, they are shared.

Other than that I’m not sure what else is shared wise. Perhaps some of the routine maintenance stuff is also shared.

In the end, a lot of the parts are shared due to cost savings for Honda.

There was something I read about K series vs L series engines, not sure which one the one in new RDX is.

What would you recommend to how to research about the dealers? Is there a public information site on whether dealerships have excessive lemon law claims?

That's where I purchased Acura Care for our RDX. Lowest price I could find: $1,705 for 8 years/100K/0 Deductible. Just fill out the form on their website and they'll send you the various plan/price options. When you're ready to purchase, just give them a call and they'll set it all up on the phone in about 10 minutes. You'll get an emailed receipt and about 2 weeks later you'll get the Acura Care Package in the mail.

I bought my 2019 RDX Tech in September 2018 and had issues from day 1. Transmission harsh shift issue, intermittent Airbag passenger light staying on, Radio volume erratic, no station control from steering wheel, loss of audio, parking going on on its own and could not release on several occasions. Lost power passing a car at 70MPH and had to pull over and re-start car. Climate control turning itself off, going to LO mode several times. All issues brought to dealer for repairs and never could reproduce problems. Made several video recordings of these thing happening. File Lemon Law. After 9 months with this intermittent car, lost the case as dealer keeps saying operating as designed. Had 8 Acuras since 2001 and never had any issues with any until this one. Never again. Traded it in with 8400 miles as I didn’t feel safe driving this and had way too many intermittent issues. Navigation almost useless and infotainment very difficult to use with touchpad. Beware!

Sorry to hear. Did you have an attorney represent you?

What did you replace the RDX with?

Same thing happened to me as all of the problems I had were not safety related according to the court. Even though I showed videos of the issues I was having.

I am waiting on a Hyundai Palisade to appear at my local dealer as they are performing a new car swap and then I will be done as well. My first and last Acura...

Also, Consumer Reports has Acura listed at 16th overall in quality. That surprised me. It seems both Honda and Acura have dropped significantly in quality.
I drove a 2019 RDX and really liked it. But reliability is very important to me.
What can I expect to pay for a 2019 RDX Base model now that the 2020's are on dealer lots.
Is the Tech package worth the extra money?
Is there any value to the AWD option here in a climate like GA?
Sorry for the many questions, but I would like to wrap this up by next week.
Thank you for your input.

I have a 2020 A-spec and I have most of the same 2019 issues like the brake squeak and struts squeak and the Lane Departure is almost non-existing but except for the infotaiment, my infotaiment is so far so good (knock on wood).
