reliable shops for engine work?central tx area.
Hey everyone.well just found out the engine in my tl has low cyl pressure in a few
Cylinders.
Just wondering if anyone knows any honda/acura shops that do good work
And aren't way overpriced.
Not sure if I want to take on this myself, but ill probably check out a few first.
I'm located temple/killeen tx area.so if any around here or maybe even
Austin.
Any recomendations?
Thank you
Cylinders.

You might try McDavid Collision Center in NW Austin (address might be Cedar Park) and ask for Chad Beckley (512-258-8114) and he can help you out at rates less than the main Acura dealer. I was able to talk him down on price and I'm sure you can too.
Another shop in Austin is Rebreu, located at Kramer/Lamar intersection, but they are more body/frame but they do have guys who do engine work and priced fair. Ask for Jim and see what he says, overly honest manager and fair, Phone: 512-836-4498
Another decent shop for tuning or engine work is Soulspeed Performance. They had a shop in Austin, but recently moved down to San Marcos. Usually a wait and by appointment to get in, but might be worth calling (Phone: 512-832-1800) http://www.soulspeed.com
Lastly, here's a site that has a variety of local performance speed shops you might consider, although mostly geared towards classics, so read the fine print before you call and they laugh at you

South 1st Performance Automotive is a good one I've heard feedback on, but can't speak on many others listed.
good luck
