quality tint shop in DFW TX area

Hey all I'm looking for a quality tint shop in DFW TX area. I have a 2008 base TL and understand the car already came with some sort of light tint. My issue is do they need to remove the "factory tint" or can the new one be applied on top? I already have a few shops in mind mostly around NRH and Plano area from looking through yellow pages and craig list. Money is not a too big of issue. I need input from people who had their TLs tinted in the area that had top quality (good tint, moleskin stuff). Thanks !

Previous owner of my car got the tinting done at MoonShadow and it's bubbling up pretty bad. I'd say stay away from that one.

Moon shadow has a nice lifetime warranty you can bring it back though. Tritek is nice I do not know how much they charge for tint removal. I had a friend with a type S that got it done there for 150 but he had no previous tint on there. Tritek also laser cuts there tint so it will fit perfectly.

Had my car done at ProTint & have had a great experience with them. I've been considering Tritek to fix my driver's window tint, but I don't care to pay the fee they charge to remove it. David is a great guy, though. He'll take good care of you.

I had the windows on my Ford Ranger tinted back in August of 2003 at Sun Masters (now SML) in Lewisville. The tint has never bubbled or gotten wavy, so I had them also do my 08 Focus and my brother's 08 F-150.

Vouch for Tritek! Went today and had an amazing experience. David's crew is simply the best. 8 years in the same location and a lifetime warranty is hard to beat. Also he has a KILLER R33 Skyline.

My write up is here

Alta Mere is hit or miss...the thing is that you might have a top tech work on your car...or you could get someone learning on the job. Thats my experience. Pro tint...they wanted $195 for a 3 year warranty...are you kidding me??

This is who I used...http://www.window-tinting-dallas.com

Heres what I liked about them...

1) Came to my office with 8 tint selections

2) For $224, they did a heck of a job.

3) Lifetime warranty film, ok, thats great...but whats much better is that when theyre done the tint looks professional...not that artificial black color from those dyed films.

4) I wouldnt use anyone else...and Ive used a couple of the places...these are my new guys.
