We are just getting together for some lunch and hangout. Boerne city lake is right behind the property if you want to swim and they have 80 craft beers on tap and some good food trucks!
After discussions last night we all had planned today for the Acura Texas meet...so we figured we'd still get together and go from there.

Key fob just turn key but not car on press button turn off then key again press button...something like that...I got a windshield for like 150 from atlas auto glass I believe & came with the tint strip at the top looked exactly like oem but don't think it had the same labeling...had no problems with it; was on my last 3g....

Check out this page. It's for Honda cars but maybe should work on the TL also. Good luck and let us know. I don't think the 4G TL has a key ignition switch so I assume you just press the start button once (without brake) to get it into accessory mode.

thanks guys!
soo i tried to look up atlas auto glass but didn't see anything for san antonio just houston.
as far as this goes, I guess I'll buy a used drive 2 fob on ebay and try this, though I feel like I read on this forum that its impossible to do it on your own and you need done at the dealership. If it doesnt work ill just make a run to ATX and get it re-programmed at sterling acura since they said it should run about $60 compared to gunn wanting $130 SMDH
thanks guys!

"This remote will only be able to be cut and programmed via an
automotive locksmith or a dealership. You will NOT
be able to program this remote yourself!"
sorry to keep blowing this thread up, but i just called sterling acura again just to make sure the price was right before i buy the key and apparently its $60 to reprogram and $60 to cut the key as well... so $120 again...
"Some Acura key fob remotes require a special "Flash" or "Erase" procedure in order to program to your vehicle. The manufacturer put in a security measure where the key can only be programmed once. So in order for the remote to be programmed again, it will have to have this procedure done. We wish it wasn't this way, but unfortunately this is the way it is for these particular remotes. So if you are purchasing a Acura key fob remote that looks similar to the remotes we have listed (the type & number of buttons does not matter), you will need to purchase this service. If this "Flash" service is not performed you will receive a "Bad Key" error when the dealer goes to program it, and the dealer will still charge you a fee." It stated that this model fob does require the flash. So just FYI. Good luck.
