Tonights race with doc was fun,man his vette is kick ass..I also randomly stopped by HRP when i was in baytown picking something up,i raced with my bros bone stock 05 Dodge Magnum SXT and my first (worse time) was 18.106 @81.79mph r/t 2.995, then my best time (last race) was 16.874 @ 84.24mph r/t 2.592.

On my first race i made a fail burnout,then i couldnt get traction for $hit off the line (turned off TCS). On my other races i did the burnout good and did 17.4,17.2,17.0 and so on. Man it was fun,i really think we should make the next meet at HRP cuz it was empty today (i did 6 races back to back) and its usually empty on fridays. I'll post up time slip when i get home to scan my time slip.


I'll post up docs race Vs. the Challenger after im done attaching and uploading.

door handle in the nsx just broke. Im so very pissed off. Its almost $400 for this stupid handle. I dont know if im going to make it out to the pz event now. Its so ghetto opening up the door using the outside handle. I hate rolling around like that. I dont know what im going to do. I was thinking of some loctite 401 and just see what happens. All my other hondas had 200k plus miles and nothing broke. This one barely has 100k and its falling apart.

 

how did it brake? in half or one of the rods broke?

Man don't let a little door handle issue hold you back from joining us, I'm sure nobody will be able to tell how you open your door. Try searching on Craigslist you might be lucky and find one or if not try ebay $400 is alot for a door handle yikes

 

Even better, just let Ralph do some NSX valet service, and get the door for you.

^^Lmoa,reminds of of last winter when i broke mine trying to fix my speaker (plastics break easily during cold weather). I always had to roll the window down then open it from outside for me to get out,then i'd roll it back up b4 turning off my car. I ended up buying a new one from eBay for 15 bucks shipped.You should still come regardless tho.

I think I definitely pull on those evo's--esp on the top end. I missed gears in half the races (the 1st and the 3rd race) in the videos. Justin drove well though. I'm impressed how quickly you learned how to drive the SRT8. The Vette really takes some practice.

 

Man its next to impossible to find parts for nsx. Its just like a Ferrari as pricing parts I swear. Ferrari clutch $1,200 Nsx clutch $1,200 $370 online with a 25% online discount from a dealer. $420 if I walk into a dealer and ask for them. Science of speed make some aftermarket ones but still like $299 for them. I want to stay oem. I'm going to glue it up tonight and leave the spring off and see what happens.


I dont understand how it broke. I just opened the door like a normal person. I know the previous owner treated the car bad so that doesnt help. It broke where rod meets handle.

NSX parts can be expensive and a pain to find but I wouldnt go and compare the price of a clutch on a Ferrari or its install on that Ferrari.

 

Done the research already. The nsx is a stepping stone to my ferrari this is how I know the pricing. Install is different world.

Very easy car to drive. the TL took me 3 weeks to find the sweet spot on the clutch while the challenger took me less than a day to master.
