what's the legal limit on tint? I got mine done a while back, but I was expecting it to be darker than it is. I think it's 35%.

 

Texas has changed their law on tint percentage.
it used to be 35%
it is now legal to have 25%

 

Crap! I guess that will be the next thing I do. I went to that executive tint place off of hillcroft. I felt like there were better options around but it seems like they've been open the longest and they offer a lifetime warranty so i went with them.

 

awww yeah. my tint's starting to get worse but i'm so lazy to get it done.

Probably do 25% on 4 windows and 5% on the back if the legal percentage is actually 25 now

at night, can you see out of the rear window fine with 5%? Like when you're backing out of a parking spot

 

I thought about doing that but I didn't know if it would look weird to have them different percentages. I also got my remote start done there... They didn't do the best job. Granted, they probably don't get many RL's in there, but I had to go somewhere else to try to get it fixed. That's still a WIP..

I've been meaning to go get my tint redone since my car came with some weird ass tint,

has like 35% on the rear sides,back is like 70% or some shit & nothing on the fronts

but then seeing executive tints on hilcroft driveway goin in discourages me/my cars height lol.

Dude just buy some coils and call it a day. The headache with springs is not worth it IMO and I can guarantee you are going to want to go lower. I can help you out that weekend either way.

I had Executive do my TL a few months back. My rear deck tint bubbled so I had the whole car re-done. Executive botched the rear quarter glass, even after I made it clear I would not accept any gap. They did fix it, but they had a weird attitude about re-doing it. If you want good tint, get the Huper Optic at EVS on Bellaire. Its worth the price.
