So i went to look at the TL today, ive decided not to go for me. His final asking price was 8,300. Way too much for its condition.

Tried to take a pic of the faded paint and orange peel but idk if it came out any good. Looks like its been repainted.. poorly.

Yeah move on. Whoever repaired that front end did a crappy job. That upper intake cover is missing near the battery because they didn't straighten the frame out enough, so it wouldn't even fit on there if you tried to clip it on. The deck lid plugs kill it right there alone.

Really take your time. It took me 5-6 months to find mine, and at that, I only found 2 that I liked, clean, low miles, no major damage, colors I wanted, 6MT etc.

Width wise 8.5 or 9.5 width with a +35 offset should fit easily. It all depends on if you want to go wit a staggered setup or not. Just make sure whatever you go with for the fronts will clear your big brakes.

Ricardo aren't you running spacers too?

If you can, test fit the wheels or another wheel in the same specs by positioning the susp in the normal height on one corner. Might take jack stands and more than one jack to be quick, but it would be worth it. Might help you determine what tire size too.

The work is guaranteed so I'm taking it back to the shop today. Hopefully they don't give me a hard time. Hell, I even had a dream about the mismatch

AM can be tough to paint match. But it does depend on the paint system brand. Good paint systems have a standard variant of AM, and a few other variants to select from. The bumper is never going to be perfect, but it should be an "acceptable" color match. Hopefully the shop steps up. Comparing in different light conditions will show if its too coarse metallic, too light/dark, too much/too little blue pearl.

Damn, originally mine was estimated $454 but i just went to court last week for a ticket i got back in July for exhibition of speed, didnt have my DL on me at that time & squealing tires but when i went to court the lady dismissed the first two and reduced the fine of squealing tires to $50 ($119 court fees included) + no points on my license. I say u just go to court & plead not guilty & hope the cop doesnt show up,the speed he pulled you over for is stupid tho.

Well I didnt even know that AM had blue pearl in it. I notice it on the front end and that matches up well since he blended with the doors. Just that my aspec side skirts look darker now but I can live with that. The rear bumper, not so much

Is CCM on Saturday? Do we have to pay? Maybe we can make this an AZ meet. I think I have a soccer tournament that day but I have to double check

Actually I think I'm wrong. I think it has small amounts of Blue & Violet solid base tint, not pearl, for BASF brand.

What's up Houston. First time on these forums. Just bought an 04 TL. Love the car but it's definitely a project (https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/04-tl-compressor-replacement-questions-868887/). <- A/C already out. Had hail damage and pretty terrible repair, but doesn't matter so much to me- just tryin' to get some miles out of it. So much more comfortable than the mazda 3 it replaced. Been on other forums a while (s2k and mazda3) so i'll probably be lurking a lot for a while.

^welcome, where in town are you?

Edit: I just checked your thread and if my memory serves me right I believe your compressor clutch and field coil are out but the compressor may still be good. There are a couple threads on here regarding the same issue.

Near Washington right now

agreed- that could definitely be the issue. Thinking I'd rather replace than rebuild it... I will know more when I get it off

I read a few of the threads, and it seems like it could be a number of things. I'm just hoping I can do it myself. The shop quoted 1400... OUCH!
