So this morning on my way to school I was on the freeway and I was switching lanes and asaw somthing in the road an tried dodging it but it was to late. A clamp that 18 wheelers use to tighten there load down punctured an big ass hole into my oil pan.

Does anyone know how much this would cost to fix? And a good place where I can get it fixed in the houston area and where I can find a oil pan. All help is well appreciated!

Emmanuel fucked up his oil pan I THINK 3 times.

each time, he bought a new oil pan from the dealer, which is about 98 buxx.
then he installed it himself

Could I get any oil pan as long as its the 3rd gen or does it have to be 07-08?

 

^emmanuel is the oil pan master.
he can even show you some tricks on how to install it easier, because its a bitch to do so.

 

^ I think any 3rd gen should work. Not 100% sure tho

 

as long as you have a base, any 04-08 base oil pans will work.. type s 3.5l oil pans are different

The bolts holding the pan by the subframe are gonna be a PITA

and then you're gonna have the oil return line blocking you from taking it out.

I would explain how to take it off but its gonna be a long explanation.

Order with your vin or year,3.5 oil pan wont fit.

Dang raise it up man. If your tucking tire on a 3G TL, that's way too low for daily driving in Houston IMO. The roads here are shit. Shit in road all the time, and surprise pot holes are out there.

 

I plan on going lower in the future so this is just a test for me. and I drive a lot slower so no more speeding tickets! HAHAH

 

drive fast and pay speeding tickets or drive stanced and slow and no tickets?....lol jk. sometimes you get tickets for being too low and slow and annoys people.
