N DFW area: who best to not a scratch rim? any recommendations?
have a slow leak in one of my tires
spotted a nail in center of the tread
question is who in the North DFW area I can trust to do the repair w/o scratching the rim? (have the HPT option 19s)
I had used someone in the past for my 3G, but their service has slipped as they scratched 2 of my 3G's rims last time I was in.
Anyone have success even w/ a NTX Acura dealer and nice rims? Tire store?
I was using a place known for tires and batteries, but like I said wasn't too happy last time they touched the rims
thanks

I live in North FtW and I have had varying luck at different tire places with previous vehicles. I think it is more about the particular place and person that works on your car (or the quality standards the particular place requires). I have had good experience at Kauffman Tire, but i have also had bad experience at a different Kauffman Tire. One place paid to have a set of rims completely reconditioned after one of their people pounded the heck out of them trying to put incorrect weights on.
I'm convinced you need to make your expectations clear when you discuss with them what you want done and clarify they have the equipment and the skills to do the job without marring the rims. Then make sure they inspect the vehicle when it goes in the door and inspect it when it comes out. Then pray and keep your fingers crossed!

anybody? I know someone else other than str8aero has had a good or bad experience w/ the care of their wheels and fixing a flat. I'm giving the Texas Region its chance to shine ....

I ended up based on a recommendation going to a tire n battery store in Grapevine. They did a great job. Didn't harm the rim. and best of all - free.

NTB in grapevine is nice. They have to replace those for free as I recall there. My buddy worked tehre for a while but he quit so I lost my hookup lol. But they are usually pretty good there.
