Interesting twist in the car saga.

I was talking with my father (who happens to be boss, and has a Vette as well) and was telling him what I thought-that I was going to sell the Vette and get something cheaper and save for a house.

He sat there for a bit, and then said, "Ok, I will give you a raise."

Well crap. What do I do now? Do I still keep the Vette (My raise covers about what I would save by getting rid of it), or do I still get rid of it and save even that much more?

Ha, well, I have to talk to the boss to see what he says, I don;t want to seem ungrateful by taking the raise AND getting rid of the Vette. I will be talking to them (the parents) this weekend.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutley LOVE the Vette, but I also love the idea of owning a house and renting out the condo.

I know bro, Im just messin. That was very thoughful of the old man though. I think you should try to think long term. If this car is going to put a strain on you down the road its best to get rid of it now. Wow, your dad just made this decision alot more difficult.

New mods for the STi on the way:

1. Prodrive 2004/2005 STi Springs

These high-performance spring sets are specifically designed to work with the factory struts. These springs lower the vehicle approximately 20mm and increase the spring rate by 25%. This complete kit features Eibach springs manufactured to Prodrive’s specifications. These springs have been in development for over a year being specifically designed for the USDM STi.

2. PDE Camber-Caster Adjusters Front Strut Top Mounts

• Manufactured from T-7075 aluminum.
• Unique new design allows simple camber adjustment, or both camber and caster adjustment simultaneously.
• Caster adjustment option enables more negative camber upon turn in, reducing the need for too much static negative camber. This allows a larger tire footprint for acceleration and braking when the wheels are in the straight-ahead position.
• Camber adjustment enables both positive and negative direction from stock. Up to three degrees negative, and one degree positive for lowered street driven cars – allowing stock camber settings to be used on the street if desired after the car is lowered.
• New CAD engineered design is strong enough for rally or road racing applications, and will not bend or break under extreme use unlike other popular adjusters on the market.
• Definitive adjustment allows accurate changes in 0.2 degree increments without guessing, and very quick changes without trying to align difficult to see adjustment marks.
• Allows accurate repeatability at the track or between rally stages, when changing weather or surface conditions require quick accurate adjustments.
• Definitive adjustment enables accurate wheel toe adjustment charts to be created for individual racecars, for quick toe adjustments after camber changes.
• Fits with all aftermarket strut braces.
• Gold anodized finish with zinc plated hardware.
• Installation instructions and warranty included.

3. STi Hardened Rear Strut Top Mounts

Low compliance strut top mounts ensure precise alignment control under heavy cornering forces while also being more resistant to coming apart under severe use such as rally and rallycross. Tightens the handling feel and improves steering & suspension feedback. Strongly recommended for any upgraded suspension kit that uses factory top mounts.

DANG Inferno! You've gone plum . . . . ain't it great!

Well I've got some good news-bad news on my end.

First the bad . . . I won't be doing as many mods to my car as I was planning.

The reason is the good news . . . my oldest boy was asked to play for the Texans Red soccer team. So my life and money will get sucked up in soccer . . . especially since my younger one is playing with the Texans Red North . . . so I will have a lot less spending money . . . but I'm real proud of their achievement, so I can't complain.

Ruf

Also . . .

I think we ought to open a temporary thread at 14949 until we get the closing worked out.

Especially since I wouldn't put it past some of the other folks on other threads to try and steal it or put us over.

Thoughts?

hey guys. I haven't been really on the last few days. I lost my job a few days ago. So I have been kinda out of it. Luckily though with the contacts that I have, I have an interview lined up for Tuesday, so I hope everything goes good with it.

The good thing about this new job if I get it, would actually end of being an increase in pay, so at least there is something to kinda look forward to.

Well, so far, I am doing really bad on uploading my pics and have only uploaded one-but, it is probably the best one

This is Eleonora-she will be visting me soon We met on Sunday before our cooking class and hit off imediatley. Sam (my little brother on the left who is now 6'3") and I then went back into Firenze to have dinner with her on Thursday and she took us all over the city, especially to the top of the hill looking over Firenze for the sunset-very romantic. Anyways, I have more to tell about her but don't have the time-maybe later

Oh yeah, don't mind the crappy pic taken by the horny, dumb Frenchman.

The good thing about this new job if I get it, would actually end of being an increase in pay, so at least there is something to kinda look forward to.
That does suck, Shah!! I'm glad you got things lined up. This kind of crap happens all the time. My brother has an architecture degree from A&M and has been laid off a bunch of times
