Are you pleased with your Motorola phone?

My cell phone was recently stolen. I have Sprint service and I've only owned Samsung and Sanyo phones thus far, and have been pleased. I bought a Sanyo over the weekend because I needed a quick replacement, but I'm not pleased with it. I saw Sprint had a Motorola v60, or v65 or something on their site a few days ago, but it's no longer there. I went to 2 Sprint stores, niether of them had one on display or carried it. I'm going to return this Sanyo I bought and buy a better quality phone. I want to try out a Motorola, so I'm looking for some feedback on them. I'm pretty sure the one I saw on the Sprint site was a v60, or something like that, but I'm looking for anything that will work with my Sprint service.

How's the quality/durability? Does it feel cheap or flimsy? Overall opinions/satisfaction? thanks

Thats a good question; I am not sure if Motorola is making any other CDMA phones.

v600 is hit or miss. More often miss than hit. I've had to turn it info for replacement 3x now.

the v3 looks like a real nice phone, but imo $5-600 is too expensive for a cell phone

is Bimmer a cell phone vendor on this forum? maybe he could help me out

interesting...

I've had my 710 now for about 4 weeks and I have yet to drop a call. In fact, it's picking up signals underground, where my old LG4400 wouldn't get a signal.

I'm very pleased with the phone.

My V710 is doing great too....no dropped calls and the signal strength is like no other...it's really does pick up in places that usually don't have strong signal!

My V60 is great. No fancy features or games or anything, but it works fine and is very durable (except the antenna, i've replaced that 3 or 4 times so far).

Good luck finding one though, i don't think they're made anymore. I saw something about a color V60 a while back but i don't think that's out there either.

I'm looking at how I can replace my V400 because that thing is making me wonder if I'm deaf.. I've replaced it 3x already because of low handset speaker volume when I'm on a call... so when I use it, I have to use either speaker phone or headset.... Raheel save me! If I wasn't buying a house in the next few months, I'd be all over your phone deals lol

you have to learn how to edit the gaintable.bin on the phone for louder ringtones, lower system tones, no keypad tones, and louder earpiece volume.

I use v551, good phone w/bluetooth, but I do not like address book set up. Also v551 needs special data cable to upload ring tones, etc, or use data transfer rates, otherwise no problems.

Well if your computer has bluetooth then you dont need the special data cable.

I went thru two motoroal phones and I HATED it. I had V60 and V66 and they were both terrible in every aspect. These days, color ones lack resolution compared to other brands and most of these phones are either heavy or too thick or big in size. I know Razr is so popular b/c it's so slim or whatever, but if you see that thing in person, you'll notice that it's probably the WIDDEST phone you'll find in cell phone industry. Do not go with it. Also, their camera capability isn't worth the money you are paying for. Takes forever to load up pictures in those V600 models. I say, go with Samsung, Haven't found a single product that dissappointed me yet. I currently have Samsung D500 and it's amazing!!
