woot...got the 8801

well, i ordered it today...should be here in a few days. Got it for $525 shipped. Anyone have anything specific I should know about this guy? I know Nokia was updating the software on the phone for free, as the old stuff was very problematic. Anything else?

I've had my 8801 since November and it's been problem-free for me. Get a good case that protects the phone in a drop, and covers it all over. It'd be a shame to drop this phone, or even to scratch it. Get used to wiping it down with that little black pouch it comes with, and be prepared for all the second looks and everyone asking about your phone!

Question about the phone. It mentions that the phone bluetooth but does it have wireless bluetooth voice dialing capabilities?

I used to own previous special edition chrome phones. They are nice but always lacked the technology.

i had the 8860, it was cool, but for the price it was, features were same as the 8260, except it had an extra ring tone haha.

first impressions on the 8801---the batt. life sucks big ass. t least i got two batterys, but its annpying changing them all the time. phone is a little heavy, but doesnt really bohter me. the speaker is kind of rattling, i think i may have to contact nokia. the spring loaded slide is really cool...overall, if you paid $500+ for this, you would probably be dissapointed. luckily i sold my razr, and total this thing costed me about 300...for which i cant really complain.

nokia should've put a little more into this phone... there are phones for less than half the price that do a lot more. for the high price tag, they should of at least gave it more internal memory and a megapixel camera.. my $.02
