Windows XP Media Center Problem

I have a new machine with media center on it.

Problem is I installed a Wireless Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard combo

and after restarting the thing like it said to do - It is throwing me an error.

It states that

a file is missing or is corrupt so Windows Media Center cannt run

blah blah

C:/Windows/System32/.......

something or other

insert the disk and press 'r' to repair

The problem is that I do not have the disk for media center with me.

Also, I tried to run in safe mode and uninstall the software for the mouse

and keyboard... When I did this the machine decides to restart over and over.

what to do?

(the disk is being over nighted tomorrow)

the drivers you got are bad and it corrupted some file n the OS. This happened to a good friend of mines using Xp pro. I try to avoid using the CD's and just i just download the drivers from the sites to make sure they are new and complete.

we tried to go from RAID format to 2 seperate hard drives and re intsall Windows.

It didnt work out, and says that on both drives it cannot format because it

says a file is missing or corrupt.

to do that, disconnect one hard drive and set the pins on it to slave (instructions on top of Hard drive. during th einstall leave it disconnected. put the cd in and turn of PC. then during startup (HP/Dell/Compacq screen push f12 key and select cd drive to boot. follow the steps. When you reach to the stage of the partions delete the partioons on the drive except for one that is about 38MB's (thats what it was on my PC). After deleting, install the OS on to the upartioned space which will be about the size of the Hard drive. then procede like normal and remember to install the drivers for the computer as well (audio, video, mouse, keyboard, etc.)
