I ran a manual windows update and saw that Media Player 11 was listed under optional updates. I currently use version 10. Anyone have v11? Is it worth it? I mostly use mine for listening to my mp3s here at the office while I work.

 

Well there are no major upgrades, but its been in beta for like 5 months. I think some of the main differences is the WMP Internet Radio. I installed the official version today (been running the Beta) its the same ol WMP. It does do a Windows validation check during install.

I've been running it for about a month. Don't use it that much. Haven't had any problems with it.

 

I think you have to use 11 if you stream music to your 360, if you have one. I don't believe it allows you to do it through 10 anymore. But you are at work, so thats not even of value to you.

 

I used to have 10 and went to 11. Then I went back to 10 because 11 sucks. 11 doesent give you the left sidebar where you can scroll artists more efficiently.

 

I loaded it up. It seems to work fine except it won't easily switch between my SleekMPXP skin (very small) and the full size. It goes from skin to full size in one click but requires 3 clicks to go back to skin size. Annoying. I may go back to 10.

i just installed WMP11, everything feels the same with my very limited use of wmp 10 cause k-lite code w/windows media player classic=gold. I like wmp 11 more cause it looked cooler, so if you want a cooler looking wmp, get the v11
