Windows Media Center 2005 - Anybody try it yet?

Ive been kinda interested in the new WMC 2005 and have seen some decent reviews (GamePC Review) but would like to know some peoples real world thoughts on it. It was just released not so long ago, but I figured someone might have some insight. Like how is the DVR aspect? How about the multimedia editing? Any problems with it been found? Also can you upgrade regular XP Home to WMC 2005 or do you have to buy the full OS (in which case how much $$$)?

Try the reviews on CNET.com and pcworld.com... they say it aint' perfect... especially the picture quality of TV.

And from the reports, the full OS is not available for sale, although peeps with the old Media Center OS can upgrade with... well, upgrade.

Junkster, who doesn't think it's been totally ringed out yet

Actually, it is available for sale as OEM. HERE is a link saying so anyway...

Smalls, Microsoft website has a bunch of details on what is new in this edition:

I've read great things about it. The only disappointment is that it won't record HDTV unless it's over the air due to legal concerns. Hopefully if those issues are resolved, they can issue a patch. Then I will definitely pick up a Media Center PC.
