Windows based video joining software?
Anyone have a recommendation for a (?free?) fast program to join hundreds of video clips?
I have hundreds of DVR/surveillance videos in AVI format and I would like to join them all. I have OSX with iMovie but it's on a i5 with 8GB RAM. Would like to be bale to work a little faster than that on a more powerful machine, but that means Windows.
Any ideas?

Thanks and thanks.
I am not going to buy it because this is a one off project... I just have thousands of recovered DVR fragments all named by the exact date and time they were recorded (so they will align easily in folder view alphabetically and I want to join them all on a "per camera" basis to make it easier to view.
Will try movie maker. Let's see how it handles 8000 files at once...

I don't know if it's a viable alternative, but there's a program called Acid Pro that would let you splice videos together. I used to use it for music so I have no idea how capable it is with video, but I do know it is capable of splicing vids

Incidentally, if anyone needs software to recover data from a surveillance system DVR,see below. The program rocks. It ain't cheep, but it worked like a champ.
