I'm on a new PC and have tried installing firefox multiple times with the same result. The windows media player plug-in for firefox won't work. Won't install. Works fine with IE but not in firefox. Never had this issue with other computers I have.

 

Interesting, never heard of this problem, mine works fine. Interested to hear others on this one.

For some reason that fix didn't work for me when I had the same issues.. I had to delete all my extensions and unistall firefox then re-install..

 

Doesn't work for me either...

 

I just restored the PC to factory settings/config yesterday when I installed Firefox... don't see why I'd need to reinstall yet again

 

Just do it.. It takes 2 minutes..

I actually tried to uninstall and reinstall and it didn't work til I removed my extensions..

I think it was adblock that was fucking it up..

 

damn... so XP-MCE makes you work to get FF to display embedded WMP content???

XP doesn't make you do this to get it to work, while XP-MCE does. This means something changed between XP and XP-MCE. That's why I'm
