I'd like 150 to be the limit. Basically I want a printer than can print good pictures and is quick.

I haven't bought a printer in a while, are they just basically all the same now? Does it really matter? I guess I can get my prints done at costco for like .25$ each. The main reason i'm thinking about gettin another printer is because ink replacement will cost like 60$ and a new printer comes with ink.

Canon i860. Consumer Reports and other reviews gave this a good rating. Do a search and you'll see. I have one and it's a great everyday black/white printer for text and avg for color. It does have the lowest cost per/print in the color rankings.

You can also look into the HP PSC 1210, a multi-function inkjet. It's about $50 cheaper than the Canon i860 and comparable in text quality but a notch lower in photo quality. Another one to consider is the Epson Stylus C84, $100, but is slow in photo print speed.

here is another write up about the printer....

its well worth the price and the quality seems great to me as well...
