Web based management of Windows Servers

Does anyone know of a web based product for Windows that can add/delete accounts and groups in Active Directory and create file shares on servers?

Ideally this would be something an end user in a small business could use rather than a windows administrator.

google it - there are quite a few.

But. . .why not simply install the AD adminpak on the person's PC and put an MMC icon on the person's desktop? It's simple, straightforward, and included in the cost of the licensing. The only drawback I see is that it's limited to the one computer. With a web based app, anyone can access it, even through your firewall if you let 'em.

This would be for someone that has a small business of say 5-6 employees and doesn't want to have to pay someone $100 to add/delete an account. I could give him MMC and show him how to use it but there is much to break in there.

If all you're doing is wanting them to administer AD accounts, put them in the Builtin Account Operators security group. They will be able to add, delete and reset accounts as well as reset passwords without giving them domain or forest level access to anything else.

This stuff is all out on the web. Google is your friend. . .

zeroday - was simply trying to point out that you don't need to make them a domain admin to get this accomplished. It's not unusual to give certain power users in remote/small offices this type of access to assist with admin duties. Sorry if I offended you, was simply trying to point this out. As I re-read my post, I can see where my point was a bit off center from the quote.
