In July, I'll have had my phone for two years, so I'm eligible for the $100 credit towards a new phone.
Is that $100 good on a, say, Slider which costs $99 with a contract, or is that $100 used against the $329 (or whatever) that the slider costs w/o a new contract?
That being said, I plan on renewing my contract. (So I assume the former, but want to be clear.)
Thanks

the "new every two" credit is good for UP TO $100 off the promotional sale price of the phone, not the full retail.
reason why i say UP TO is because the price of the phone can't fall below ZERO after any mail-in rebates and is not applicable towards any accessories.
you are correct in your assumption

i've been wondering about this too... someone told me it's 24 months til you can get your $100 credit, someone else told me it's 21 months.
my plan started 7/27/02... on what exact date will i be eligible to get a new phone??

slider has a $50 rebate now...
so... in that case, u would not have to pay $50, then get a $50 rebate in the mail, so it's free AFTER rebate.
hope u already got the phone cuz prior to this rebate, it would have been a wash with the new every two credit ($100 minus $100 = $0 out of pocket)
