Vzw 3g

I just got the data cable for my VX6000 and I used the cable and dial-up
connection settings to connect to the internet on my PC by dialing #777. I
am wondering if there are any extra charges to use this, other than airtime.
The vzw site wasn't very helpful.

I found out that Express network is free for some, but not others. If I was able to connect and use the internet, should I assume it's free for me (other than airtime) or will i see a bunch of charges on my next bill?

As far as I'm aware it should be free (outside of coming out of airtime minutes). Call them up to make sure though.

Express network is the bombay.

Well I called them up and they said EN still costs money, but they have something called quick-connect where it just uses airtime so that must be what I'm using. The guy said the only difference is speed and quick-connect connects at 14.4k. I find that odd because I'm downloading at about 15k right now, which would mean about a 120k connection. What's going on?

I'm not complaining, just confused, and I don't want to see huge charges on my next bill. He did say you can't use express network til you sign up for it so I guess that's comforting.

Oh my PC says it's connected at 215k

Yeah, QNC which uses your minutes, doesn't cost a monthly fee. Just your minutes. It's a blaxing 14.4kbps data rate too!

Express Network requres you to choose a package of MB's. It's pricey. But, peak data rates of 153kbps. Average more towards the 80kbps though.

hmm, I connect at speeds way higher than 14.4K, and they only come out of regular minutes.

I seriously doubt you'll see extra charges on your monthly statement.

There was a period of time where EN was offered as a minutes used plan. THis is no longer offered. Don't ever let that go Aaron.
