LG EnV2. Pretty good phone and its only 80 bucks right now. Its great for texting and the battery life is really good. I'd really like to hear any personal reviews of the LG Dare, if anyone here has it. I may want to give my wife my Env and get something else.

Depends on what you're looking for... Feature phone (Clam shell, Candy Bar, Touch screen)? Smart Phone?

Seems like you're aiming for a candy bar style or smartphone.

If you want a feature phone, I recommend LG stuff, especially the Dare. If you text, I would recommend the ENV2.

If you want a smartphone, you should consider waiting until the HTC Touch come out at the end of this month. It runs WinMo. You can take a look at the XV6900 (made by HTC for Verizon) to see the GUI.

yeah i really dont like windows mobile apps though. i had a treo 700p and 700wx a year or so ago, i like palm better if im to use a smart phone, thats just me. i had a bb 7250 years ago for my job i really liked it. i really like the curve, the only thing im not too fond of is that its required to activate the $30 monthly bb plan, i dont necessarily *need* the bb plan but i will utilize it to get my moneys worth. i like the dare but not as much. i like a full keypad i can feel

I have:
Palm Treo 700w
The Good: The actual phone (making phone calls) is excelent!
I personally like the windows format, and with an sd card it is extremely easy to move files to and from a computer. This also allows you to put your own pictures, mp3s, etc on your phone in the full format and use them as wallpapers and ringtones! (no more of that vcast $3 for 10 seconds of ringtone) And the best, you can pick one up on ebay for around $100 or less with no contract! (which is what I did)
The Bad:
It is not the smallest or lightest phone I've ever had. Camera is a typical phone camera. I don't like the stubby antena on mine.(newer ones have it internal)
Bottom Line:
I like mine for the price, and since its not a blackberry, you can cancel the internet plan if you are not using it and still have a really good working phone. But I have a lot of friends that love their "Crackberrys"
Good Luck

I won't get a phone that would require me to get a separate data package just to use it. My wife got a BlackBerry Pearl and she ended up returning it since she didn't need internet on her phone or being forced to pay for it. She got a Treo 755 instead (not the WinMo version) and she loves it.

Just seeing this thread now.

Anyway, I'm pretty unhappy with my Moto Krzr. The first one died after only 3 weeks, wouldn't keep a charge. Took it back to try to fix it, they couldn't, so they gave me a new one. That was last September. The 2nd phone has been doing the same thing as the first all along....just won't keep a charge for very long. The other night, I had 3 or 4 bars, then talked on the phone for 28 minutes and it started beeping at me saying it had low power. I hate this phone.

I'm getting a Chocolate 3 soon. I prefer flips and this seems to be the nicest Verizon has right now. It supposedly has great battery life, which is important to me--I talk to my techs and sales people all day but I am not mobile, so the phone doesn't sit on a car charger all day like a road warrior's would. Company paid, but I am the GM so i get to pick.

No need for BB, etc.--I'm in the office all day, just not necessarily at my desk. If something is minute to minute I will get a call, not a text or e-mail--so I just want a PHONE. Texting is very limited in my world--maybe just sending a tech an address or something. (Never really saw the appeal--I guess I am old.)

I have an iPod touch if I want to play.
