Verizon Phone Folks..

What are your opinions on the LG 6000 vs the Audiovox 8900? Camera is not important to me, and that's irrelevent since both have.

But I -think- a speakerphone is something I'd really like to have, so I'm leaning towards the 8900. I realize the screen of the 6000 is nicer, and the 8900 doesnt have vibrate to ring, which is something I've become used to with the TM510.

So, any suggestions? Which way should I go?

I keep reading that the speakerphone sucks, but it's working just fine for me. If you speak to the back of the phone, evne while the phone is closed, the other person can hear me.

More importatly, the speaker is loud enough so if I'm on hold, I can use it without holding the phone up to my ear.

But reading howardforums, you can get a speakerphone working on the LG6000. So now I'm considering switching.

I charged my phone last night, and today, after a few hours of conversation, my phone is dead. Although it may be the norm for the 8900, I'm disappointed because I'm used to very long battery life on my LG TM-510. Of course that phone did not have color screen or speakerphone, but I can't deal with short battery lives.

I'm thinking (again) about going to the 6000.

Use of the speakerphone will definitely shorten the battery life.
