how do you sell verizon phones over the internet?

i have a U740 and a 2 year plan

in other phones you just switch sim cards...but verizon phones dont have that

how do i keep the 2 year plan but sell the phone?

 

get a new phone and have the line transfered

 

can i go the verizon store....tell them to delete the line off the u740......tell them to hold the line.....then sell the phone....buy a cheaper phone...and get the line and contacts transfered to that line?

You could do it in this fashion online (or in the store):

Register for My Account online on the verizon website, buy the new cheaper phone, switch the number to the new phone online w/ My Account (using the ESN # on next to the battery), then transfer contacts over manually, with BT, computer cable or at the verizon store and then sell the U740 and your done.
