V710 Mp3

how do you put MP2's on a v710? I just got one yesterday on Alltel but I can't figure out how to put MP3's on it.
Thanks,
Jon

im pretty sure that you need the memory card too....but try it with the USB cable first because i think that the memory card has something on it that enables you to play the mp3 im not sure try it out first. if it doesn't work then im pretty sure you need the memory card because i don't think you will have enough room on your phone for an mp3

I never been able to tranfert MP3 using the USB cable. Actually, I never been able to tranfert any file from my laptop to the phone by using the USB cable, except the phone book. Which version of the Motorola Software are you guys using ?

And without USB cable, just with the memory card you can easily put MP3 into the phone. But, you cannot use MP3 as ringtone ! At least, I cannot on mine....for some reasons, the phone firmware doesn't support MP3 as ringtones.

But the V710 MP3 players deliver very good sound quality, especially using the stereo headphone.

If you update your firmware with the one mentioned in other threads here, then you can use MP3s as ring tones. I used the USB cable to update the firmware and use the TransFlash to copy MP3s to the phone. Sounds is pretty good, just watch out for volume level.

you need to get a transflash card. its $35 at radio chack and comes with a SD adapter for a SD reader which if you dont have you can get one cheap. the card is 128 but sanyo os testing a 1gb card that should be released pretty soon.

I got the card a few days ago but what programs are you all using to lower the quality of your mp3's and make them monotone. And what program can I use to cut the MP3 short like so I can make it 15 sec so I can just have that on the actual phone memory as the ringtone instead of having the full song and killing the memory on my phone. Thanks

Nero Wave Editor. Another reason I hated my V710. You can't transfer data via bluetooth or usb. They make you buy the transflash card, which is slow and sometimes doesn't see your MP3's...
