Unlocking Phones+Verizon Wireless

Okay well I have a T720, and the phone is gay IMO. I was looking on ebay to buy some unlocked phones or phones I can unlock myself. The question is, with verizon wireless they dont use the GSM networks right? So what phones from other companies that are unlocked can I use?

Locking and unlocking is [mostly] a GSM function. To my knowledge (and I could be wrong), you cannot legitimately use a non-Verizon handset on the Verizon network. The foreign CDMA phone's ESN must be listed in the Verizon database as a compatible handset, so unless you can accomplish that, a phone whether locked or unlock still will not work on Verizon because it's not one of the 50 million ESNs in the master list.

Verizon=Sprint

Didn't say it is impossible. But you have to know somebody (on the inside) who can do it for you. For example, I can make any CDMA phone in the world work on Sprint. Otherwise, like ALL cdma's phones on the planet, theyALL will MAKE a call on the Verizon network which is called roaming. Maybe Verizon hasn't turned this on (yet) but it is certainly on at Sprint. We just don't allow just any old phone to be used on our network, who knows what it might do.

If you buy a phone overseas that works on 800mHz CDMA and you hope to come back to the US and make it work on Verizon, I think that is risky at best.
