Treo 800

Am I the only one that got suckerd into buying on of these?

Battery life is terrible, I have to pull the battery once a day because it locks up, and the calling options are horrible.

Any one have any suggestions? I searched everything treo and even tried spb shell to help but it sucks to.

Any advise?

bro... whatz up with that...no one had one when I went to sprint and the sales guy never called me back about one, so I figured that was God giving me His opinion... Looks like they underpowered it battery wise and under brained the thing... so its got a bunch of cool stuff that you cannot use......hollar back and let us know what happens!!!!!

Hey Bent....I just remembered... also check out tHis website:

sprintusers.com

there are a load of sprint insiders on there, so you might be able to find so good fixes for your phone or good advise for your next move... there was someone talking about a return kit for the treo 800... I have no idea what they were talking about but look into it... Rick

Thanks for both links!

Battery would not recharge so had to get a new one. The GPS is really cool and helpful but you can barly use it between the thing locking up or battery going dead.

AGH! I've had every treo out there, started out with the original 600...They have gradually gotten worse with every new update. I was hoping the 800 would be better but I guess not....I might have to switch to a different brand. I am just so used to them but my 750 is a nightmare.

HTC Touch Pro FTW....

...when I went to Sprint to look at the 800... the sales guy brings me out a "broken" one from the back with no battery in it to look at.... I was done with the 800 at that point...

I have gone through 3 (maybe 4?) Treos before they had a "Wall Issue." This means that I threw them against a wall in frustration.

The OS is terrible, and there was a class action suit (I got $0.17...) due to knowingly using faulty hardware.

Avoid avoid avoid....

I currently have a BB 8830, and love it like a child.

Unfortunately the battery is undersized for this device. Its best to have more than one batt. Palm recommends to top the batt off frequently versus letting it discharge all the way and recharging. Some of your settings may need to be adjusted also to help with longevity.
