Cell phone is shot...
Cell phone is shot...
The screen will not light and I'm unable to access my address book. For what ever reason only half of my address book was saved on my sim.
I understand some or all carriers have features to transfer address books, but I never had it set up. I have AT&T and was wondering if it's possible to transfer the address book to an old phone(for time being) or to a new phone?
Anyone know if this is possible?

it is possible but you'll have to go to an AT&T store and have them do it for you. They have a device that will connect to multiple phones and can transfer the data for you. Not sure if they're going to be nice and do it for free, but its worth a shot.

The AT&T store should do that for free- mine did to transfer contact info from my wife's T-mobile phone.
New contacts on AT&T phones default to being saved on the phone, but there should be an option in the phone setup menu to copy all the contacts to/from the SIM-- at least, that's the case with the Motorolas. Also, whenever a new contact is saved, Motorolas give a choice of whether to save it to the phone, SIM chip or both.
When I got a new phone, I just transferred the SIM chip to have all my contact info on the new phone.
