Took my Lumia 920 on a roller coaster today
It's amazing that any phone could take video like that. I still have an old Cannon video camera that used the mini VHS tapes. I haven't had it plug in in years. Paid like $900 for it. And now these phones are 1/100ths of the size and weight and can deliver video or pics over much of the "high end" stuff of the late 90's.

Here's a comparison video done by someone else. It appears to use a superior shutter -like Sarlacc's choice of phone must also use- but doesn't have hardware image stabilization. You decide which one is least likely to make you vomit...

I've always found it looking 20/20 in hindsight that a camera would be attached to a phone could be odd. It's kind of like a post with a metal can to collect your bills. I suppose audio and visual blend together better than say audio and another of the 5 senses, but perhaps a pic is worth a thousand words and smell is just shit.
No need to hide when your usual stupidity is so out in the open.
PS: never was there a mention or comparison of my or anyone else phone...because the phone have nothing to do with it...but of course you know everything about tech, so Im sure you already knew this as well...
oh and...duncecap

In this case, we even have a Senior Moderator encouraging this behavior... Nice.

For example here's same coaster filmed by an iPhone 4 and looks like it was recorded by Michael J Fox...
I know that your phone also has a rolling shutter as does every cell phone even high end DSLRs have rolling shutters and are therefore prone to the same issues. I also know that your phone could never make a video that looked as smooth as mine out of the box.

And you're also trying to compare an iphone 4 with 2 generations of older camera/sensor technology in it....good for you.
Here's a real question, why did you make this waste of a thread again? Because you took your phone on a roller coaster and decided it was good tech talk?
Enjoy your thread duncecap
I took another video yesterday on the Kumba and there was minimal to no wind noise that time. Not sure if I did anything different maybe I was holding a little different and blocking a mic or maybe the first time I was unknowingly redirecting wind into the mics with my grip. IDK but the Kumba video sounds very similar to the Coasterforce.com video, you can hear the sounds of the coaster and the screams but hardly any wind.
Could you whine and cry and little more? I don't think you look like a big enough vagina.
Cute, so you spent all day online researching this...cept the newer generation of high end DSLR aren't as prone jello shutter.

So you compare my phone with current high end DSLRs and then in the next sentence say my phone shouldn't compare with an iPhone 4 because it's better....ok.
Also I did very little research besides reading the comments on my video and confirming their statements, others did the work for me...
I made this thread because I was very impressed with the video I took from a phone I paid $50 for. Have you ever posted pictures from your cell phone online because you were impressed at how well they turned out? I know you have. Did I shit on it because it didn't look as good as a DSLR, no.
Everyone except you seems to think the video looks pretty amazing for a cell phone. It's got 100% likes on YT not even one dislike, I figured you could give it at least one.
You seem to dislike everything I do so I'm not surprised you came in here to shit on my thread

And seriously, I agree with nfnsquared...why the mods tolerate his thread crapping time and time again is puzzling to say the least.
Back to the topic at hand...it is amazing how far along the camera's in cell phones have progressed. Nice video...and nice job of getting to the front seat. I never get that lucky unless I employ a "special" guide to take me around the park
Stunna, I thought the video was great. I suspect the technology is approaching the limits of what the eye can discern in TV's, phones, and everything else. Even processing speed. I can't tell a difference in 2 nanoseconds. At that point, the art will have to be the engaging frame of reference by gifted humans.

I wasn't encouraging anything, just making my presence known. Given what sarlacc does for a living, I think he has some insight into camera performance. Stunna and Sarlacc are both adults and know how to be civil. I'm just here to make sure it doesn't get out of hand.
Here we go again with "I work in this industry "...
While the 920 may not be the absolute best camera phone it is damn close. Certainly exceeding that of the NEWEST generation iPhone. It's not even worth arguing.
STUNNA: You just went about preaching your gospel the wrong way.

My wife and I had the park almost to ourselves in early October a few years ago.

I've shared a video from my HTC One in the forum. Again, impressive video for a device thats very generalized.
If you're trying to show off the impressive quality of a camera...or whatever...you don't put it in a situation that shows off the worst characteristics.
Aside from that I can't help but
at the giant manginas who've all banded together to chime.
This thread should get renamed "The Wet Blanket Club" and all those ladies should get sent out free AZ tampons and some midol for their hurt pussies.
