For those who buy from iTunes Music Store - Questions???
I want to start buying songs from iTunes but have a couple of questions:
1) It says it's in AAC format. What kind of quality is it?
2) How hard is it to convert it to MP3? I heard you have to burn it onto a CD then you can convert from there.
3) Once downloaded, does it store it in a "Purchased Music" folder or will it create a folder like Drive:\Artist Name\Album Name ? and can it be moved?
4) If say I buy 10 different songs, is that 10 separate transactions on my card or will it take a total of how much I bought in a day/week/or month and total it all up?
And before any suggest to just use P2P, I prefer not to. I've done my fair share and would like to do it legally now .
Thanks in advance

AAC is apple audio compression - its simple to convert. you make a new playlist of the songs you want to make a cd of, then burn it (all done in itunes.) the files will convert to aiff so you can listen to them on a cd player. you want mp3s then rip the cd again and make sure you pick mp3....or there is a convert in the program i believe.., i dont know i use quicktime for that shit.
a playlist is a list in itunes, it will not create a new folder. the songs should automatically be added to your library also.
if you buy 10 different songs, but all at once, then its once charge on your card.
Itunes stores, and itunes itself are easy as pie, you'll figure it out.

I think songs purchased from iTunes can only be burned 7 times... or something like that... but I don't see that being a big deal... cause how often are you really gonna want to burn a song more than 7 times.
The way I buy music from iTunes is... well, someone for Christmas gave me a gift card for the apple store (on line), and it just deducts from there... there's a little window at the top left showing how much credit I still have.

You can only register the song on up to 3 computers. I dont believe there is a limit on burning. and if there is, then keep a master copy. Or if you burn it and rerip it, then you dont have to worry about it at all. there is away around everything.

how do you get licensed songs onto iPod? Like I've bought music from Walmart, but it's in wma format. So iPod doesn't recognize them.

according to apple you can use iTunes to do it. http://www.apple.com/itunes/import.html on the key features section it says
Save to AAC from unprotected WMA (Windows only)

1) good quality. it seems like it's equivalent to mp3 192kbps
2) burn it into a cd then rip it back to itunes
3) creates folders based on ID3
4) shopping cart
feels good buying music. i'm finally giving back to the industry. i just wished itunes had more hip hop (not hip pop) and some 80s stuff. i bought about 37 songs and it took me 12 min. to download. not too bad, better than the old way where you hope the song is good quality, the right song, or a song that no one editted so that it loops the chorus over and over

I don't know what you can't find on Itunes I got stuff from "common" to junkie XL to just about what ever. You should look into searching more. I have had troule finding some stuff though so it could be very possible, but for the most part i can find what ever I need including "this DJ" by warren g. old school baby
