Thinking about leaving Nextel for Verizon

I hardly use the 2-way service anymore, and I'm paying close to $80 a month for a phone. I can't complain about the serice at all, but I'm just woundering if its worth it anymore. Most of the time I wind up talking to my girlfrined during the day who has Verizon, so that kills some of my minutes.

So far I have:
1,000 daytime
4,000 night + weekend
5,000 direct connect
Unlimited Interner
Unlimited AOL IM
Unlimited Browser messages

What do you guys reccomend? Verizon? experiences?

UGH, i feel your pain. my bill was 150 last month and 100 this month. ridiculous. if i go over my minutes they charge through the nose. my dad has att and he went over his minutes and his bill was like 10 dollars extra..... not ONE HUNDRED. they won't let me change my plan either. "that's not offered to existing customers.." but last time i checked, EXISTING customers are the ones keeping them in business. come 2 months when my contract is up i'm going back to at&t. i'll miss my beep-beep though..

I would go with Verizon. It's been known all over the place that Verizon has the absolute best service. I was stupid to go to T-Mobile.. shoulda went back to Verizon.
